It’s crazy how it feels like yesterday when we felt mixed emotions about the start of the school year. We were excited to see our friends and even excited to use our new things. At the same time, we felt a little nervous of the things to come.

The first two weeks felt easy. We got a lot of time to spare and a lot of time to rest. Deadlines were given one at a time. So everyone was able to keep track of everything.

But as days passed by, things got a little harder. Works got heavier. Deadlines were given simultaneously. We couldn’t keep track of everything anymore. There were plenty of things to do and so little time to sleep.

School days could be summarize into one roller coaster ride. At the beginning of the ride, things were in a slow pace (lesser school works, lesser stress, lesser problems). The ride would then went up slowly (school works starts to build up) and down too fast (deadlines are given simultaneously), and it wasn’t a one time big time. But rather, the nerve-wrecking ride of going-up-slowly-and-down-too-fast, would even be repeated twice or thrice during the whole roller coaster experience. It was a little stressful; making some of us want to jump out and end the ride already (wanting to give up). Perhaps, it felt great to have reach the end (end of school year/graduation) ; knowing that we survived all those ups (achievements and awards) and downs (failures and rejections) and realizing that it was indeed a fulfilling experience.
